Leadership Coaching
Do you feel alone in your leadership position? Are there times when you would appreciate a sounding board? Could you use help sorting out priorities, finding a more sustainable work-life balance, or taking your leadership to the next level?
If any of these questions resonate, you might benefit from one on one leadership coaching.
Coaching is a thought-provoking process of discovery and exploration that empowers you to maximize your potential.
Coaching is...
-
Client driven – your goals and hopes drive the process as you actively engage in each session.
-
Transformational – this work is thought-provoking, reflective, and designed to help you grow and change.
-
Goal oriented – you will outline what you want to accomplish and identify specific goals you hope to achieve.
-
Future focused – you will imagine what might be possible and work to move past old ways of thinking that might not serve you anymore.
-
Hard work – you will participate actively and hold yourself accountable (with support from your coach) for the outcomes you define.
Benefits of Coaching
Coaching is a proven and effective tool for supporting leaders through the many challenges, opportunities, and pressures of their demanding roles.
Coaching helps leaders:
-
Manage change and lead with a renewed sense of confidence.
-
Strengthen relationships with staff and board members.
-
Build resilient teams that value trust, open communication, and have a clear sense of purpose.
-
Focus on top priorities and reduce the ‘noise’ of ongoing distractions.
-
Reduce stress by having a sounding board to talk through ideas and voice concerns with.
-
Reimagine job sustainability and a healthy work-life balance.
How it works
CCP offers coaching services twice a year to a limited number of clients, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our coaching cycles typically start in mid October and late January, and are advertised through our partner organization, Nonprofit Association of Washington, via their member newsletter, The Connector.
Once you apply, you can expect the following:
-
Discovery call: you’ll have a call with one of our coaches to answer your questions and determine if coaching is right for you.
-
Matching: If coaching is a good fit, we’ll match you with a highly qualified coach with deep expertise in both coaching and non-profit consulting.
-
Service Fee: There is a $50 administrative fee payable to CCP once you have been matched with a coach. Coaching services cannot start until this fee has been paid. If you are unable to afford this amount, there are limited scholarships available.
-
First meeting with your coach: You and your coach will work out the details of your coaching engagement: number of sessions, frequency, etc.
-
Coaching Engagement: Each coach has a unique style and approach; CCP does not dictate a specified engagement or coaching structure. Typical engagements last 3-6 months with 6-10 sessions. We do ask all coaches to work within our CCP Coaching Approach, which you can read about here.
Alexa, WA
"My CCP coach was so knowledgeable on everything and provided me such great guidance over the most difficult times -- through COVID and some board/ED/staff issues. I have grown so much as a leader thanks to her insight and direction!"
Morgan, WA
"The time spent talking with my CCP coach was invaluable. She was incredible: very knowledgeable, empathetic, engaging and able to create a reflection opportunity out of nearly anything! "
Lisa, WA
"I had just been hired as the ED of a non-profit with a very dysfunctional volunteer Board. My CCP coach walked me through the first few months with her calm, steady advice. Our weekly calls were my lifeline. Two years in, and I love my job, I have a handle on it. Without her help, I wouldn't be here."
